Privacy Policy
Last updated 27 October 2026
We respect your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and when you contact us, what we do with it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
This website, carysil.au.com, is operated by The Wholesale Man Pty Ltd (ABN 41 162 306 998), trading as Carysil Australia (“we”, “us”, “our”). We sell and support Carysil kitchen sinks, mixers and built-in appliances in Australia. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Our head office is at 31 Mount Erin Road, Campbelltown NSW 2560. You can contact us on 03 9735 0018 or at enquiries@carysil.com.au.
What we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us, plus a small amount of technical information:
- Enquiries. When you use our enquiry form, email or phone us: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, your role (for example homeowner, builder or designer), the products you are interested in, and anything you write in your message.
- Showroom and dealer contact. If you ask to be put in touch with a showroom or dealer, the details you give us to do that.
- Technical information. Like any website, our hosting provider records standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We use this to keep the site secure and working, not to identify you.
- Website usage. Google Analytics collects information about how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser (see Cookies below).
We do not ask for payment details, and we do not sell anything through this website.
How we use it
- to answer your enquiry and send the product information, specifications or pricing you asked for;
- to connect you with a showroom or dealer near you, when you ask us to;
- to send news and new releases, only if you ask to receive them (you can stop at any time);
- to keep this website secure, fix faults and understand how it is used; and
- to meet our legal obligations.
We will not use your information for a purpose you would not reasonably expect.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- the showroom, dealer or installer you have asked us to put you in touch with;
- service providers who help us run the website and handle enquiries, who may only use it to provide their service to us: our website host, our content management system (where each enquiry you send is stored so we can follow it up) and our email delivery provider (which sends your enquiry to our team) and Google, which provides our website analytics; and
- our related companies in the Carysil group, where that is needed to answer your enquiry.
Some of these providers and group companies are located outside Australia, including in the United States and India. Where we send personal information overseas we take reasonable steps to make sure it is handled in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Cookies and browser storage
We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how this website is used, such as which pages are visited and from what kind of device. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google your IP address and information about your visit, which we see only as combined statistics. We do not use advertising or remarketing tools. Google handles that information under Google’s privacy policy, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.
The site also keeps two small things in your browser’s session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab: whether you have already seen the opening animation, and the products you have added to the compare list.
Product images are delivered from the Sanity content network.
Keeping it safe, and how long we keep it
We keep personal information in secure systems and limit who can see it. We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to respond and to meet our legal and business record-keeping needs, then delete or de-identify them. No system is perfectly secure; if a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm we will tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email enquiries@carysil.com.au and we will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days. We may need to confirm who you are first.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, write to us first and we will try to put it right. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
